I was searching for the unexplored, unmapped or maybe to discover something new, in a much-liked tourist spot like Gokarna. For a beach lover travelling to Karnataka and not visiting Gokarna is a crime!
There are Gurudwaras in other parts of Baluchistan like – Dera Bugti, Dera Murad Jamali, Dera Allahyar, Usta Muhammad, Sibi, Lehri and Hub. Though the numbers of Sikhs in Baluchistan run into few hundreds, Sikhism here has been kept alive by Hindu Gur-Sikhs.
I had been to cities like Hong Kong which offer every possible aspect of modern, comfortable and exciting life but what Kashi offered was unique and even though I knew that I could never live in a city like Varanasi, I had gotten attached to the place.
Whether it was because of my marriage, (and the prospects of taking on a new identity), or an increased understanding of water here at home I do not know, but the curiosity to visit my village and its river took root.
